Princeton Tigers Aim for Another Deep Run in 2025-26 Season

The Princeton Tigers are gearing up for an exciting basketball season after a remarkable run last year that saw them reach the semi-state and fall just short of the state finals. The team, led by coach Lamar Brown—who earned Coach of the Year honors—graduated five key seniors from the 2024 squad but is eager to build on their success and make another deep postseason push.
Last season, Princeton’s Tigers showcased resilience and talent, securing sectional and regional titles before advancing to the semi-state, where they narrowly lost to Crispus Attucks. (24-3)for their season record. A significant loss for the team was senior Jake Jenkins, who dropped 30 points in the semi-state game to end their season.

One of the biggest storylines this year is the arrival of transfer guard Quintyn Voltz, considered one of the best players in the class of 2028. His scoring ability and court vision are expected to make an immediate impact. Alongside him, senior Drew Wilkins—who spent his junior year in Florida but returns to Princeton—adds veteran leadership, sharpshooting, and competitiveness to the team.

The Tigers also boast a strong core of returning players, including Indiana All-Star and 6'7" Big Guard Edwin Holmes, who will look to anchor the team on both ends of the floor. Holmes’s presence inside, combined with the scoring prowess of Voltz, makes the Tigers a balanced and dangerous squad.

Senior DeMarcus Newson, a vital contributor last season, is also back, providing leadership and versatility. With a roster that features players like Luke Kingsbury Jr., a 5'10" point guard, and Zen Coomer, a 6'3" senior guard, Princeton has the talent and depth to compete with anyone.
